Maintenance in the engine room

Discover the maintenance items and specifications such as engine oil, spark plug type, 12v battery, transmission (cvt) oil, break fluid, washer fluid, coolent, engine air filter in under the hood (bonnet) of your Honda Fit Shuttle hybrid gp2.

Engine oil

Oil is a major contributor to your engine’s performance and longevity. If you drive the vehicle with insufficient or deteriorated oil, the engine may fail or be damaged.

 Recommended engine oil: 0w-20  3.2l 

Use a Genuine Honda Motor Oil or another commercial engine oil of suitable viscosity for the ambient temperature as shown.

Synthetic oil

You may also use synthetic motor oil if it is labeled with the API Certification Seal and is the specified viscosity grade.

 Recommended brake fluid: DOT3 / DOT4  (Honda genuine ultra brake fluid)

Transmission fluid

 Recommended transmission fluid: Honda genuine ultra HMMF  2.8l

Coolant

 Recommended coolant fluid: Honda genuine ultra e coolant  4.56l

Specified concentration 50% with distilled water.

12V battery

Vehicles without windshield heat rays :  Capacity 27AH(5) / Type 34B17L 
Vehicle equipped with windshield heat rays :  Capacity 28AH(5), 35AH(20) / Type 38B19L 

Spark plug

 NGK DILFR6J11  (12290-RW0-003 or DENSO VFKH20 )  8 units
